The name comes from an indigenous tribe from an island just off the south coast of Alaska, they speak a language called Alutiiq and this is where the name and spelling of the Karoq comes from. This SUV is very similar to the newly released SKODA Kodiaq in many ways including its shape and structure, the only difference is the size. The Karoq is quite obviously smaller than that of the Kodiaq but it can do just as good a job when it comes to its off road capabilities.

Available with a large assortment of engine combinations and gearboxes, the new SKODA Karoq can also be constructed with either front wheel drive, or four wheel drive – and they are obtainable as either a manual or automatic. With an impressive engine series, starting with the 1.0 114ps TSI petrol and then ranging to the powerful 2.0 150ps TDI diesel with plenty of variations in between you are assured to find the perfect combination for you. However there is a stand out engine in this range, a new 1.5 150ps TSI engine is being released. This engine will be sure to give you that extra punch whilst accelerating.
